Our programs for the new season will begin with a doubleheader on the 7th and the 9th of October. We should also mention that the speaker schedule will not be as regular as in the past. The book was recently published by the UW Press and there will be copies available for purchase. The program is co-sponsored by Special Collections at the Seattle Public Library and the Guild and takes place in the Microsoft Auditorium at 1 pm. Parking is available in the building on Sunday for $6.

Spring History Conference
The Guild’s annual conference will be on March 2, 2013 with the theme of Turning Points in Pacific Northwest History. It will be held at the Central Library and will be free. The conference theme is related to the National History Day topic and we hope to encourage younger historians to present papers and attend. This fall we will be adding content to the webpage about the conference and we hope our members will encourage students and teachers they know to get involved. Despite being free, most of the features of past conferences will be retained.
