Art in Seattle’s Public Spaces

March 28, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC-8

Free

Walk down any street in Seattle, turn the corner, and you are likely to discover art enhancing the city’s public spaces – from historical statues to abstract sculptures. The downtown area alone has over 350 artworks alone for all to enjoy. How did Seattle amass such a vast collection? What does it tell us about our city?  Join Jim Rupp, author of Art in Seattle’s Public Spaces, from SoDo to South Lake Union as he weaves through over 100 years of urban art collecting. This presentation is free and open to the public. 7 pm social time, 7:30 presentation.
